This drenching bit is marked ""Dr. LeGear's Stock Remedies St. Louis, Mo."" and is in good condition. It was made to administer liquid medicine to livestock, especially horse and mules.
The funnel on the side is approximately 6-1/4 inches long. It rotates to a vertical position, so the medicine can be poured into the funnel. The straight bar of the mouth-piece has a hole to dispense the liquid.
Dr. LeGear graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1892. He sold a variety of stock and poultry medicines and remedies and also published Dr. Le Gear's Stock Book that outlined the general care of stock and advertised his remedies for any animal maladies.
