    Description:
Second Revised Draft script for the 1988 film. Copy belonging to "B. Daniel" with their name in holograph ink on the front wrapper.
A crackerjack thriller, probably the best action film of the 1980s, based on Roderick Thorp's 1979 novel, "Nothing Lasts Forever." The film transformed Bruce Willis, then known primarily as a television actor, into an A-list box office star, and was the film debut of the great Alan Rickman, in what remains one of his most iconic roles. Followed by four increasingly cartoonish sequels.
    Nominated for four Academy Awards.
White titled wrappers. Title page present, dated October 2, 1987, and various November 1987 dates (revisions), noted as SECOND REVISED DRAFT, with credits for screenwriters Stuart and DeSouza, and novelist Thorp. 132 leaves, with last page of text numbered 112. Xerographic duplication, with blue, pink, green, yellow, goldenrod, and salmon revision pages throughout, dated variously between 11/2/87 and 1/27/88. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
Hardy, The BFI Companion to Crime, p. 106; The Gangster Film, p. 425. Spicer, p. 427.
