GENUINE OLD WEST UNDERTAKERS TABLE & EMBALMING KIT CIRCA 1881

Description

S213O, A truly unique offering. Many instruments, items for mortuary uses, roughly 50 items in all. Leather carrying case measures 26" long x 12" w x 10" high, trimmed in brass and steel bindings with lock, no key survives (see extensive photos of this ensemble.) Folding table unfolds to full body length and measures 73" long x 23" high x 17.5" wide, fully identified in wood work of the bed by dates 1881 to 1886, markings include; B.F. GLEASON BROCKPORT, NY. Finely crafted showing excellent workmanship, it folds up to half size for carrying, needs some minor wood surface repairs here and there, otherwise still in very good used condition for it's age and uses. The undertaker/mortician/embalmer profession is well described in literature. The skeleton shown is not included...just used for perspective and a little seasonal Halloween humor, but if you want it, let me know and we'll come to terms on it. This ensemble will have to be crated and fully insured to be shipped to you, or you may pick it up as well. Where else will you see one of these specimens that has survived time, other than a museum...maybe? All original and an amazing group/package offering.
