This is a
brand new
from the factory auger motor for the Bunn Ultra-2, Ultra-1, CDS-2 or CDS-3 frozen beverage machine, part number 28093.1000.
Note that some competitors are selling "generic" versions of this motor and lots of used motor.  This motor comes straight from Bunn to us and carries the factory warranty.  Please read all auctions carefully before buying -- you might be getting a used motor pulled from a broken down machine.
These geared-down auger motors are pretty sturdy, but they do
fail.  Early motor demise can be caused by failure of the auger shaft seal at the front of the cooling drum -- product leaks around a failed seal through the auger shaft alley into the auger motor.  The other often seen problem is failure of the gear box, usually due to failure of the original lubricant within the gearbox.  The internal motor shaft bearings can fail and seize the motor.  We receive used motors as cores that are often run for long times after they start to make noise, and usually the transmission case and internal components are destroyed.  If your motor has stopped working or it is making grinding noises, it's time to replace it.
