    A former marshal is lynched after being falsely accused of murder, but he is rescued, and begins a hunt for the men who attempted to kill him. Clint Eastwood's first American Western, modeled after his previous "Man With No Name" European avengers, and only nominally directed by Ted Post.
    Set in the American Southwest, shot on location in New Mexico.
    Title page present, dated May 15, 1967, with credits for screenwriters Leonard Freeman and Mel Goldberg. 147 leaves, with last page of text numbered 144. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue and pink revision pages throughout, dated variously between 5-29-67 and 6-10-67. Several pages with faint stains, else Near Fine. Lacking front wrapper, with two rear wrappers, bound with two gold brads. In a custom maroon quarter-leather clamshell box.
