Based on the popular radio series "Take It or Leave It" (1940-1949) starring host Phil Baker (which would later become the television game show "The ,000 Question" [1955-1958]), young sailor Eddie Collins (Edward Ryan) finds out his wife (Madge Meredith) is pregnant while on shore leave and appears on the quiz show to raise money for his wife's obstetrician. Collins chooses "Films" as his category which serves as a framework for a compilation of clips from other Twentieth Century-Fox films.
Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 109 and production No. 988, dated MARCH 9, 1944. Distribution page present, with receipt intact. Title page present, dated March 9, 1944, noted as Final Script, with credits for screenwriter Harold Buchman. 60 leaves, with last page of text numbered 2. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 3/28/44 and 4/20/44. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound internally with two gold brads.
