    Nice canoe with no significant damage, appears to be an amateur restoration but fairly well done. Ready for your summer enjoyment for years to come.

    The Old Town Yankee model, steadiness comes nearly as much from length as from width. Consequently the regular 17 and 18 footers are steadier then regular 16 footers. To meet the demand for a 16 foot canoe with as near as possible the stableness of longer canoe this wide Yankee model was designed. Old town recommended it to those who let canoes and prefer the 16 footer because of its broadness it can be trusted to those who are not accustomed to handling watercraft. This smaller Canoe handles more like a longer craft offering steadiness, great carrying capacity, great for fishing or backpacking trips.
